Ethan Foss
Ethan Foss is "Pastoral Elder" here at FBC. He writes about himself:
I was born and raised here in Maine to parents who deeply love the Lord and His church. When I was ten years old I realized the nature of my sin, was scared of hell, understood my personal need for Jesus to atone for my sin, and responded in repentance and faith in the person and work of Christ. At the age of 17 I personally and distinctly felt the call to ministry and the desire to proclaim God’s Word through preaching and through music.
This led to the decision to attend New England Bible College in South Portland, Maine, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral and Theological Studies. But, more importantly, at NEBC is where I met my wife. Laura and I were married in 2011 and we now have three children. After four years I enrolled in a graduate program with New England Bible Seminary and by God’s grace I graduated with a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry.
I am passionate about God’s Word and about the beauty of His Gospel to be known and proclaimed. I find joy in sharing the truths and promises of God’s Word and in encouraging others to apply them to their lives and then live them out. It has been a blessing to serve the Lord and His Church through different areas of ministry, and I am excited to see what He is doing and will continue to do here at FBC.
As for hobbies and personal interests, I enjoy playing and listening to music, reading a good book, watching and playing football, hunting & hiking, and spending time with my wife and kiddos. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me and schedule a time to meet together. Through my life may the Lamb receive the reward for which He was slain; to God alone be the glory!
