If you are interested in finding out more about FBC Waldoboro and what it means to become a member, this is the class for you. You will spend 6 weeks learning about salvation, our statement of faith, ministries, our purpose, mission, & vision, our history, and our structure. You will then have an opportunity to make an educated decision about joining the First Baptist family at the end of the class.
Have you ever opened your Bible and started to read but have no idea what's going on? Have you ever been confused by a text and wanted to figure out what the author is saying but don't know where to start? Have you ever wanted to dive deeper into a text but feel that you're not quite sure how to go about studying it? Well, this class is for you. This class is going to teach you how to not only open up your Bible but open up a text and "read it for all its worth." This class will take a practical approach to learning how to inductively study your Bible. It will introduce you to the basic principles of drawing out the original meaning of a text (this "drawing out" is called exegesis) and so better apply Scripture to your life. Together, as a team, we will work through the letter Paul wrote to Titus, pulling it apart, line by line; learning how to follow Paul's thought. Join me as we DIVE [IN]to the Bible!

Do you want to share your faith but don't know how? Are you simply too scared to talk to others about Jesus? Don't be at a loss for words, anymore. You don't need to be a scholar to reach the lost; you simply need to be available! This class will help you confidently share the gospel with family, friends, and strangers. In addition to telling you how to share your faith, we'll also show you by using video footage of on-the-street conversations with gang members, atheists, cult members, intellectuals, etc. Join us for a class that will gradually coax you, step-by-step, out of your comfort zone to reach others for Christ.
The Book of I Samuel centers around 3 men. Samuel, the last judge, Saul, the first King, and David, the versatile king. Chapter by chapter the story unfolds like an exciting TV series. The rise or fall of these men depends on their concept and acceptance of God. We will study and discuss this book, its intentions, our interpretation, and how it applies to us.
